Our Doctor
Dr. Courtney Elizabeth Rhodes was born in Austin, Texas and raised in McAllen, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working for a few years as an engineer in Austin, TX, Dr. Rhodes decided to fulfill her lifelong dream to become a doctor.
Dr. Rhodes graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston - College of Optometry. She completed a year of extensive internships at two prestigious optometrist offices as well as at the University Eye Institute in Houston, TX. Upon graduation, Dr. Rhodes relocated back to Austin and worked as a fill-in doctor at numerous offices in the city. She knew she eventually wanted to open her own practice, so she took the time to find the perfect space in the Austin 360 Building.
Dr. Rhodes is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, the Central Texas Optometric Society, and the Texas Women in Business.
In her free time, Dr. Rhodes spends time with her husband, Michael, and their son, Chase. Dr. Rhodes enjoys fashion and shopping, yoga, jogging Lady Bird Lake, boating Lake Austin, reading, movies, traveling, and Longhorn Football.
