What do you like the most about being an Optician?

I really enjoy all aspects of being an optician. Helping patients select a frame that fits their style, needs, personality and prescription brings me great joy.

What brought you to the industry and how many years have you been an Optician?

Being an optician is in my blood. My grandmother owned and managed an optical. I worked with her during the summers and after school. My great uncle and my aunt were also opticians. My younger brother is also an optician. I have been in the optical business for over 27 years.

What are your favorite spots in Austin?

My favorite spots in Austin are Zilker Park, Walnut Creek Metro Park, Mueller Lake Park and the shops and restaurants of SoCo and the East Side.

What do you like to do outside of Optique?

I like to walk my dogs, ride my bike, play disc golf and hike. I also like to travel.
